Tuesday 3.25.14

Rating = 7
A. Squat Snatch, work to a tough single
160. Hip felt better working up to this one, but the rep at 160 hurt a bit so I stopped here. 
B. Front Squat, build to a moderate set of 5 - go heavy if hip feels okay, but dont push it
175. I built up to 155 without my hip hurting, but then it felt tight on this final set. 
C. Fat Bar Deadlift, build to a tough touch n go 5 - use the bar that you used in regionals last year

D. AMRAP in 15 mins:
50ft DogSled Push @ 250lbs on sled
50ft OH KB Walking Lunges @ 16kg/arm
25 sec L Sit Hanging from Bar

5 rounds + 4 steps on the lunges. I used 160# on a 100# sled outside. It had dried up by the time I got to the gym, so I was determined to do it as prescribed, despite Arjuna saying the gravel was a bad idea. I got through 1 round successfully, then went to push the sled back the other direction down the parking lot, and spent 2-3 minutes just slipping on gravel and not really budging it. So I stopped and rested 15+ minutes and restarted with a lighter sled.
